Meet the people who help us keep the work going. The team of staff and volunteers at the Early-Action is working to create lasting change in communities. Each member of our team brings unique experiences and skills that contribute to our mission of helping people in need. Together, we are able to positively impact the lives of individuals and families that need help the most.
S. Govind (Founder & President)
S. Govind is the Founder and President of Early Action. He worked in the banking industry in India for over 15 years before he decided to follow his passion and move to the social sector. He holds bachelor degree in Law. Early Action was founded by S.Govind in an effort to employ creative interventions that address the numerous issues affecting the lives of underprivileged children living in slums and remote rural areas. He is a pro-bono advisor to many NGOs, foundations and institutions and has helped in setting up several trusts and foundations.
Mahiman Singh Chauhan (General Secretary)
With over more than 17 years of experience in tourism industry, mainly in rural tourism. He holds Masters in psychology from Kumaon University Nainital. He is a frequent speaker at academic institutions on developmental issues. He brings expertise in building partnerships for community-based rural livelihood promotion, social inclusions, value chain analysis, institutional development, sustainable agriculture, integrated farming system interventions, participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation.
Naresh Kumar (Treasurer)
Naresh is holding Masters Degree in Commerce from Delhi University. He is actively engaged in teaching profession from last two decades. He is actively involved in fund mobilization, donor management, partner support services and disaster management. He worked with many social welfare organizations as a trainer and guest speaker.
Reena Khanna (Program Director)
Prior joining Early Action, Reena was working in Pragyavataran Educational Society as a Resource Mobilization/Partner Support Officer. She is involved in building relationships, both with the outside community and with the population that the NGO is targeting. Create programs and challenges that are as effective and efficient as possible. She has completed her Masters in Social Work.
Dr. Bimla Aeri (Executive Director, Education)
He holds Doctorate in Psychology from Kumaoun University Nainital. Prior to Early Action, she worked with Hamalayan Research & Development Society in a rural literacy project focused on increase learning levels among children in the villages in Uttarakhand Hills. Where he strived to provide excellent education to students and worked on developing a training module for teachers.
Atul Kumar (Associate Director, Partnerships)
Atul has completed his Masters in Social Work from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Delhi. Prior to Early Action he worked with Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Advocacy Coordinator as a Program Officer. He also worked as intern with National Health Systems Resource Centre. He brings expertise in building partnerships for community-based rural livelihood promotion, social inclusions, value chain analysis, institutional development.
